Step-by-Step Sprouting Process

1. Rinse Thoroughly
Rinse ½ to 1 cup of lentils or mung beans under cool water to remove any dust or debris.

2. Soak Overnight
Place the rinsed legumes in a bowl or jar and cover with 2 - 3 times the amount of water. Let them soak for 8 - 12 hours (overnight is perfect).

3. Drain and Rinse
In the morning, drain the soaking water and rinse the legumes with fresh water.

4. Set for Sprouting
Transfer them to a strainer or jar covered with a breathable cloth (like cheesecloth). Keep them in a cool, dark place—away from direct sunlight.

5. Rinse and Drain Twice Daily
Every 12 hours, rinse and drain the legumes with cool water to keep them moist and fresh. Gently shake or toss to promote even sprouting.

6. Watch Them Grow
You’ll see tiny sprouts within 1 - 2 days. Let them grow to your desired length—usually ½ to 1 inch.

7. Final Rinse and Store
Once sprouted, give them a final rinse and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Use within 2 - 3 days for best freshness.
